Over 20 of Australia’s bravest celebrities will overcome their fears to help raise funds for The Children’s Hospital at Westmead as they present “Singing with the Stars”, a gala charity event to be held Friday 5th of April 2013 at Doltone House, Jones Bay Wharf, 26 – 32 Pirrama Rd, Pyrmont.

One Country highlights the importance of bringing city and rural communities together. This inaugural B&S Ball was a bush dance for singles, couples and corporates to celebrate the Australian Year of the Farmer 2012, and to launch the One Country program. Australian Year of the Farmer celebrates the hard work of everyone involved in producing, processing, distributing and selling agricultural products from across the country.The Year highlights the need for more people to appreciate the fresh food and quality materials our farmers produce to keep us fed, clothed and sheltered. The Australian Peacekeeping Dinner

The Australian Peacekeeping Dinner was held on Friday 24th August 2012 at 7pm at the Shangri-La hotel, Sydney, in association with the Australian Defence Forces and the Australian Police Force to raise funds for the Australian Peacekeeping Memorial Project.

The Dinner was hosted by David Koch and included an exciting celebrity line up with performances from Doc Neeson, Adam Harvey, Deni Hines and Prinnie Stevens from “The Voice”.

Special guests include the Governor of NSW Her Excellency Professor Marie Bashir, the Chief of Defence Force General David Hurley, Former Chief of Defence Force General Peter Cosgrove, Former Chief of Defence Force General Angus Houston plus Commissioner Tony Negus from the Australian Federal Police.

The Australian military, police and civilians have been undertaking peace operations for over 60 years, with the first ever deployment for peacekeeping to the Dutch East Indies in 1947. Since then, over 90,000 Australians have been deployed in more than 60 peacekeeping missions around the world.

A volunteer committee of peacekeeping veterans have been working hard over the last few years to develop a National Peacekeepers Memorial on ANZAC Parade in Canberra to honour those who have and who will continue to serve on peacekeeping operations.
